Description

The colonists of Symmen III fell into a technological and cultural decline within one hundred years of settlement. Many diverse factors contributed to it. Famine, epidemics, and political turmoil reduced them to a feudal culture and technology. By the 200th year, the population had dropped to 2,000 from the original 10,000 settlers. It took another 3,000 years before science again reappeared and humans prospered and grew in population, but within 300 years, that science had them orbiting their world in crude spaceships. The myths and legends of the Symmenites that they had come from the stars was soon proven to be true, thanks to the development of telescopes, they could see that their tiny second moon was a huge machine eleven miles long. What mysteries, what advanced science might it reveal? So, it was not surprising that the first off-world landing by humans was on the hulk of the great mother ship that had brought them to this world. Credits: Planet: created by me. small space ship: Richard Jeferies. Large space ship: "DAUNTLESS" original modeled by Dominic Zschokke and converted to .3ds by Erik Timmermans; textured adapted by me from a Net freebie. Thanks for looking. Jeremy

Outstanding POV and Lighting. Your story certainly shows your writing talents; again. Your gallery has many examplews of potential story sequential postings. This fairly begs for follow-up. Well done - thanks for sharing Dwayne
