Description

Neon just wanted Toxic to die. Not nessarily by her hand, but it hurt to much to be reminded of the good times, long gone, and of the woman she loved, now nothing more than a borrowed body. Neon's senses were accute while she stalked up the steel stairs like a ghost, her bare feet making no sound over the screams and shouts from within the building. She was aware of the stupidity of what she was doing, and couldn't stop herself from moving forward. It was some unnameable tide drawing her toward whatever destiny had in store for her. A moment earlier, Captain Dokka had broadcast to the circling shuttle, "Tall White-Lady! We found 518! He's in a bad shape. We're entering the building through the roof-hole. Come around to the door side and enter with a trauma-pack. We can get him out over some fallen walls inside, to where Ragdoll can drop a sling to extricate him." Tall White-Lady hadn't set foot on the surface in almost sixty-four years, since the collapse of civilation. She nodded to Ragdoll, the shuttle-pilot and went into the back. She pulled on some armored sleeves and leggings and strapped on a Trauma-pack. The shuttle side opened and Tall White-Lady leapt out onto the roof-top near the door, to the inside. She ran over and leapt down to the platform where she'd enter at with her heart in her mouth. The smell of smoke and dampness almost made her gag. She landed almost on top of Neon, much to the shock and fear of both of them. They reacted in a subconscious way and broadcast telepathic waves of 'I'm a friend, don't attack me." The paused in mutual shock at the mirror reaction. Neon was made telepathic. Aldus Panchetta was trying for immunity to the Blight, NOT telepathy! Neon never made a big thing about her raw talents, she just used them to stay in the background and grease the wheels of survival. She wanted to know what people really meant, NOT the meaningless pleasantries they said which had no real impact. She had heard of that there were other telepaths in the great wide world, but had never met one. Until now. White-Lady was used to teaching raw talents how to use there gift, but she had never encounted one so POWERFUL as Neon. Neon caused White-lady to draw up her mental shields as the vast tsunami of curiosity and bleak loneliness swept over her. Tall White-Lady had been a mother for to many years to turn aside from such lonely need of comfort. Neon reached out, inspite of her fear, and White-Lady did the same. Niether were the same afterwards. --To be continued!-- More grist for the mill! Media is Poser 6
