Been working on depth of field using Adobe CS, tis a lot quicker than rendering me thinks.

Post blur is faster on stills. The only exception would be DOF through a transparent object with the object in focus but the item on the other side out-of-focus.

Interesting effect, though it looks a bit like my glasses needs some cleaning. You could have focused on an object in the middle, IMHO.
