Description

"This Sacred Place" By David J. Reid aka "Shardz" Software used: Poser 6, Vue 5 Infinite, Photoshop CS *~* Dedicated to Romanceworks! *~* Quite a few turn of events have transpired on this site, and in real life, since I last posted to the galleries back in May. It took me awhile to collect my thoughts and follow my heart to enrich me with the ability to passionately create images that I enjoyed sharing with you all. On June 17, 2006, this community suffered a tremendous loss in our friend and fellow artist, L.J. Heart of Romanceworks. This event truly gripped me with sorrow and a sense of bewilderment, and somehow eluded me with illogic in Gods mysterious master plan. Carol and L.J. have inspired me incredibly since I joined this community, and their trademark of intensely passionate images and love of nature are the best to be seen here or anywhere else. Carol has left comments on my images that I can never forget, and have honestly taken to heart. That is what this dedication to Carol and L.J. is all about; heart and soul, and the relentless pursuit of the human condition we know as love and devotion. Carol, we all feel your loss here, and we also still feel the strength of L.J. in this community in the work you present to us so perfectly. I cant start any artistic project without taking into consideration why I am doing this in this first place, and to try my best to convey feeling and meaning in what I create. You and L.J. know the answer, and have enlightened so many here with that special spirit, and the spirit will forever live within us all. Your beautiful artwork and heart and soul will forever guide us, and future generations, in this sacred place, Carol. Please know your special gifts illuminate the paths of so many here! *Hugs* *~* Image Notes *~* This scene took me awhile to create as I modeled the candle holders and lamps in Hexagon months ago and changed everything around about 4 times. Im designing a pack with these lamps along with other décor called Elven Elegance and hope to have that out before 2008. My status is generally that of a lurker, but I do visit when I get the chance. I really wanted to leave comments off, but I have been asked not to by a few close friends. It seems selfish to me, but perhaps leave a sentiment for Carol in lieu of me. Bless you all, and Ill be back soon. Happy Labor Day! *Waves* *~*~* Credits List *~*~* *~* Retail Stuff *~* IgnisSerpentus & Prog - Fathom (Head Morphs, Makeup Options) Ann0314 & Mutedbanshee - Angelik Days (Makeup Options) Vali & Lory - Queen Esmeralda (Outfit, Body Morphs) Daz3D - Victoria V3 SR2 & Morph Packs Daz3D - V3 Hooded Cloak One Renapd - Sirens for V3 Hooded Cloak One Baron Vlad Harkonnen - The Last Princess (Skirt, Navel Ring - Modified Textures) Baron Vlad Harkonnen - The Princess of the Elves (Swords, Scabbards - Modified Textures) Baron Vlad Harkonnen - Princess of Sparta V3 - (Thigh & Arm Bands - Modified Textures) Xurge3D - Sensual Jewels (Shoes, Shin Guards - Modified Textures) Dave71 - V3 Genie (Rings - Modified Textures) Face_Off & Morris - HyperReal V3 (Shader Only) Shardz - Elven Elegance (Candle Lamps & Stands - Future Release) Daz3D - Gazebo of Mog Ruith Daz3D - The Gathering Wyrmmaster - 2005 Sexy Solo Spellcaster (Modified) Danie - Danie's Artposes (Modified) Danie & Marforno - DM Cove (Vase - Modified Textures) Danie & Marforno - DM MPP5 (Vase - Modified Textures) Danie & Marforno - DM Elaya's Asylum (Vase - Modified Textures) Danie & Marforno - DM The King's Tomb (Vase - Modified Textures) *~ Free Stuff ~* Lully - Hair Layers Varian - Various Flowers Daz3D - RHS Wall Section Darkscorn - Obelisc (Not Available) Ape50 - Sconces (Modified Textures) Kozaburo - UpDo Hair (www.digitalbabes2.com) Dreampaint - Wings, Necklace, Earrings (www.dreampaint.com) Thank you very much for your time, comments, and kind support, as always!

It's very lovely and must be seen full view to really appreciate! You always do such a wonderful job on your images and don't feel bad about life getting in the way. It has a way of doing that. As for Romanceworks, I am deeply sorry for your loss. I can't imagine how you must feel but here's a hug anyway. ((()))

Well, let me add my two cents. I think your art matches your eloquent prose. I couldn't have put into words the emotions you've conveyed here for Carol and LJ. I think you've honored his memory to pefection here. Well done, my friend. Well done.

First of all David, I am really glad to see you back, not only in comments on others work, but with your own gorgeous art. There is something about you..really. Everytime you upload an image, I have to take time to read what you have to say, then look at your image for a long time, often I go away for a while and decide to come back later to give you a comment, cause sometimes I can't find the right words at the time I look at your image and the story the first time. This was the case with this picture too. Actually it is the third time I see it, and first now I feel I can write something here. Your words about Carol and LJ is so touching, and it is such a beautiful dedication to them. I can't even imagine how carol feels, loosing her soulmate, husband and best friend for so many years..and so suddenly. When it happened I cried, and I cry now too. I don't know Carol personally, only by her beautiful art, and unfortunaterly I did not know LJ either, but all I have read about their relationship and all I have seen of their art gives me the feeling of real love and passion. My heart goes out to carol, and I am sure even things will get easier with time, she will still have hard times and miss her beloved LJ like she is going crazy. If you read this carol, I want you to know that I am thinking of you and that I really hope life has something good for you thats waiting in the future. I am really glad that you did not turn off the comments, David. First of all, since this is such a heartfelt dedication, it is great to have the oppurtunity to say some words, and for your image,- it is so da** gorgeous made so who can NOT want to give a comment to this? Where to start..the woman is beautiful herself, and in your hands she becomes "notfromthisearth-beautiful" Her outfit is so perfect, and the way it is glowing looks amazing. All the details that you put in your images always makes my jaw drop..I cant understand how you do it, and make it fit so perfectly together. All those candles in pink with that golden flame it is so fabulous and wonderful.I like to think that all those candles are for Carol and LJ. Like Carol wrote herself, the way she is reaching out felt like a hug from your heart to hers..thats the way I see you too, David. A guy with so much love and care for others, and it is also shown in the pictures that you made, and the words you always write to them. This is so excellent work my Dear friend, and it is such an heartfelt, wonderful and caring dedication. Thank you so much for sharing it with us :) ~Love and big hugs from Hedda~ Ps: excuse my english, it is not my primal language, but I hope those that read this understand something of it anyway.

Well David, I'm so happy to see an image by you after such a long time. Your dedication is truly a wonderful and heartfelt tribute and your feelings are shared by so many of us. Your image is a flawless creation. The props you've modeled are outstanding, and will surely enhance the runtime folders of many of us, as they've enhanced this image. I am always so impressed by your fabulous sense of lighting and color, and how you compose your beautiful images with just the right amount of everything. For me it's like looking at the art created by the Masters. Rich in detail and beauty, and always atmospheric and inspiring... It's Great to have you back! Huge Fav!

Ahhh... i'm late, late, late... and nothing new up to there! :) I must say that you did nothing short of amazing as usual here, but as per your wish i'll instead spend a few words about Romanceworks - a few because i didn't know them personally, despise having seen (and appreciated) quite a few of their work out there... i didn't even know of the happening since i've not been around, but it's always sad when such losses happen, because it's always a little bit of color and art that leaves the world, and pain left for those who are left here... a beautiful dedication my friend, and my wish is that next time you'll post it might be for a brighter reason! Peace, Cris...

Hey!! Damn, am I slow or what?!?!?!?!? Sorry I missed this one-you made her looks so cute!!! I think the lamps look fantastic, too! I really need to give Hexagon a try-I bought it for $1.99, and haven't even opened it yet! LOL!! Excellent work!
