Description

Devils Churn began as a small fracture - a weak area in the ancient volcanic rock. Thunderous waves have gnawed at the rock for eons, eroding it away grain by grain, enlarging the crack into a chasm. As you approach, you'll feel the power of the churn like thunder in your bones, anticipating the collision of each wave against the rock bursting like fireworks! Devils Churn is just south of Cape Perpetua, along the central Oregon coast. Thanks for looking, have a splendid day my friend!

I love Devil's Churn. The sound is akin to thunder, and it looks just like you captured it. Thanks, Bro.

I figured it had to be the Pacific Northwest coast. No place looks quite the same. So powerful are the waves, so magnificent the cliffs... one of the loveliest coastlines I've seen. And as here, in Northern California, the history of these cliffs is a violent one. Very nice.
