Description

As the revelers dance with wild abandon the lovely princess, betrothed against her will to Senor Calzone, is bewitched and cannot escape her fate unless she sells all the tickets in her charge by midnight. In this touching aria, accentuated by anguished visage, and expressive hand gestures, she tearfully admits her defeat. Either that or she is selling tickets for door prizes at the Italian Festival in Clarksburg, West Virginia. In this version of the story, she is trying to hear a potential customer above the crowd noises while squinting against the sun. The photographer, captivated, has snapped her picture with a Palm Pilot.
