Description

After a couple of days sailing, Mary's ship is hit by a fierce storm. The sails are quickly taken down and the ship is at the mercy of the raging elements. Margiana is not used to long sea voyages and retires to the cabin feeling sick and frightened. Mary, with her greater experience of these weather conditions, tries to comfort her, as the storm rages on through the night. ** To Be Continued ** I enjoyed doing this one! The top part is done in Vue, the bottom in Poser5, with quite a bit of postwork for the weather effects. Many thanks for looking, especially to those following the story. As always, all feedback is most welcomed. Have a great day, Phil. Credits as below plus Content Paradise Galleon (Zygote) used for top pic, Daz MFD and Princess of India for Margiana's outfit. Mary's hair is Wild Braided Hair from Daz. Margiana's hair is Flo Hair from Morphography.

Hey! The captain should be on deck in this weather and not foolin' around in the cabin with pretty passengers LOL Awesome image as always! Love the lightning!

Beautiful render in both apps and I love the general and inside peek view blends! :)

You should have some storm canvas set, even if it's just a tiny scrap. Otherwise the wind could grab your top hamper, turn the ship abeam, and roll it under. That minor little nit-pick aside, that's quite a painting -- the violence of the storm is quite apparent and very daunting. The rain especially is a great effect. The lightning reflecting off the wet masts is also excellent.

Good double concept, maybe would of kept the lantern perpendicular and cabin tilted or both tilted for movement in line with the size of the waves.

I really like the way this one is staged. Nice establishing shot, followed by a great POV through teh wet glass. Great expressions on both the characters too.

A great composite. I like the weather effects, especially the raindrops on the cabin windows, and... Oh, I like it all. :) Putting this in my favourites so i won't lose it.

Having done a little sailing, I agree with the nitpicky "sail missing" comment: Sailing vessels of all sizes put up at least a smallish "storm canvaas" either way forward or way aft to keep the waves coming lengthwise down the hull. Was this your first Vue render? I positively LOVE the clear Vue renders of seascapes... Touching scene below decks...
