Holy cow, that looks old! The people really do help with identifying the scale of things. You know, if I was into guessing I'd go with something like hmmm...Spanish around mid 1500's, I just get that feeling. Anyway, however old it is, it's a newer neat photo!

@Newbie: Sirgugu told me that it is in Portugal, and the island fort - originally a monastery - has been attacked since Viking times. This is alater incarnation from the 17th Century. It's a great shot to go along with his sea view!
