Description

An infrared picture I took of a local park. It's done with a Nikon D50 and a standard Hoya R72 filter. The pictures normally come out an almost washed out red, but after I tweak the white balance the white/blue/brown colors come out. A lot of people assume this (and most infrared pictures) was taken in the winter, but it was actually late spring.

It would have to be during that season, so that all those green leaves could turn so nicely white in the IR spectrum. Lovely photo, though I'm not sure "abstract" is the best classification for it. Nature or Scenic would be better. Thanks for reminding me to get out there and play with my R72 a bit more. :)
