Description
Maybe a bit over-serious for site like Renderosity, but it's all I have to upload for now.
I never really finished this 1280 x 960 wallpaper for I have since moved on to doing things like this in video. My interests in these types of inclusive attitudes is rooted in having been born and raised in Europe to U.S. international journalist father and Hungarian mother.
When I was 13, I visited both sides of the then recently over Arab-Israeli war (my father had been covering that area since WWII, so he knew some tricks to get around :)
I've seen the beauty of both sides and loved Lebanon as well as the spirit of Israelis, and have kept up on things, especially after 9/11.
So it's gently ironic that I was looking for a local model in Los Angeles for my then stills=image project which I scrapped last year, and I connected up with the woman you see in this image.
She is Israeli, but could be Arab---or any number of so-called ethnicities. A befitting coincidence,
And so the picture of her inspired me to do this little ditty, which has turned out to be a sort of conceptual sketch and hint at better and bigger things to be created. Unfinished or not, a timely sentiment if I do say myself.
Around that time, I also wrote an Op-Ed piece submitted to The New York Times and Al Jazeera. Never got published, but it's of a parallel spirit to this image:
--- Its title begins with the words "A Letter to Al Qaeda..." so it's no fluff, but it's inclusive an a very no-nonsense, poeti-journalistic way. It also has a newspaper style black & white illustration I created for it too.

Alright, enough rambling here, you've got other things to do. Feel free to take a copy of it, circulated it and publish it (click on image for full size). My only conditions for this bit of "image freeware" are:
--- Please do NOT change the image or the file name, or sell it in any form. It's a freebie art-for-art's-sake pixel canvas, not commercial property. That's all I ask.
Thank you for visiting.

Very unusual peace piece, P.S. It is beautifully designed. I am assuming that the words on the right are all words for peace. I guess there is a word for peace in all languages. Too bad so few people know what it means.

A very unusual and creative image, and with a message on top of that! It is a wonderful way to start a gallery here at Renderosity. Welcome. Thank you for your comments and the quotes you left in my gallery. To answer a question, yes, that Daybreak image is available for your use. Contact me about it any time. Thanks for sharing the story behind this image (and your story) with us.

Thanks for comments -- I wasn't expecting any so soon :) Since I'm new here (and maybe one can't change it without a paying membership) I couldn't find a way to replace the image with a version that does not have my site name included at bottom. As a newbie, I will also get around to adding some of my favorite artists here to my list. I've seen some really awesome work that puts the unfinished quality of my banner piece here a little bit to shame in terms of crisp 3D, polished look. This image is an "oldie" and was done in Corel PhotoPaint 12 and the background elements and flags not from the best resolution sources.

Very beautiful work, and a very beautiful message. The model is absolutely gorgeous, and I love the integration with Earth and all the flags that seems to flow out of her heart. Thank you for sharing this with us.

svdl, Pardon the loo-ooong delay in replying to your kind comments. Haven't been around here to my stuff much in the last few months. But better late courtesy than none :)
