Description
I'd like to say something here and I'll try to make it short.
I always have beauty and harmony in mind when I work with fractals -or photographs, crayons, watercolours, whatever. Beauty is necessary to the spirit, I think. But I believe art has to contain truth, subjective though it may be. And the truth is there are more things in life than beauty and harmony. Actually, these are the elements that less abound in our troubled times. So art has to show the ugliness, the disruption, the anguish... death even. I try to contain these elements in my works in a subtle way. That's why, for instance, the lines and shapes from any one of yesterday's panels do not run through to the next, as mountmous would have it. Disruption, discontinuity, is hidden behing the apparent harmony. It will not allow for perfection, and predictability is a delusion. That is also the reason the three panels do not have 3 different colours, as joefraq suggested. I avoid fullfilling logical expectations as life avoids fullfilling them, on too many occasions.
I thank both mountmous and joefraq for their comments, they made me think more in depth about my work and intentions. I also thank Arbelain for his considerations, he saw the "death" factor in one of my recent renders. And I am grateful to all of you who take the trouble to view and comment and -especially today- read this lenthy explanation!

Art has all that Ersi, the two sides of a coin.... it's an accumulation of momments, ideas and situations. You have done a great explanation here. Of course we live in troubled times, so it's normal to express all that. When we do a picture we just try to capture our feelings. Anyway... you are giving shape to all you have the need to express lately and you are doing a wonderful work. And as we grow up in life you are growing like a wonderful artist my friend ;O) Splendid and emotive picture!

Despues de la 'explanacion', poco queda para decir. En realidad, nosotros vemos las cosas oscilando en las polaridades. Por ejemplo, con los colores, iriamos como en un viaje fractal continuamente por la escala de grises, y llegar al Blanco tampoco seria el fin del hombre, su finalidad, su 'realizacion', ya que el blanco no puede existir sin el negro, el bien no puede existir sin el mal, y la verdad sin la mentira. De alli que la resolucion a todo esto este en otro lugar, mas alla del bien y del mal, mas alla de los siete colores, mas alla del Uno, que tampoco puede existir sin el Cero. De ese lugar, que tampoco es un lugar, no se habla y apenas se escribe , y los que lo hicieron fueron desastrosamente malinterpretados.--- Pero tomare el color rojo, que como todos los colores, llevan implicitos su polaridad. La pasion, siempre asociada al rojo, no es solo la de los amantes, tambien existe la pasion en el crimen. La sangre es roja, asi como la ira. Las tonalidades del verde que veo mostradas, detras de los rojos, las considero la necesidad de la armonia que aludes, en lo natural, es el color de los verdes prados y del agua del mar cuando lo contemplamos de cerca. Les acompan en todo el paisaje las zonas negras, el No del negro que es la negacion de todos los colores, es el No de Eva, del Ying, que gracias a el se empieza a aprender, y se termina cuando se entra en el 'lugar' de la inexistencia de los opuestos, que no es es la mezcla de ambos.
