Description

Hello all! I heard these baby snowleopards cubs (two brothers) were just this week OUTside to see for the first time ... finally moved outside to be with Mama!! So dropped everything and hopped in my car -after I dropped the girls off from school-..ignoring the pile of laundry an housework completely -- lol!!.. When I got to the exhibit I was disappointed that with the thick grate fence that made it almost impossible to get a decent shot. So I took my little pocket cam, climbed thru the pine trees and bushes and got up real real close. As I stuck my little camera thru the little rectangular fence, I was aware of the fact that I could be scolded or kicked out. I didn't care. I wanted the shot more than anything . I had to get it. Just as I went up to the two little snow leopard babies, they curiously climbed from the higher place down toward me and growled- grrrr ( cute higher pitched cattish growl hehe )I was only a few feet away . This one little baby you see backed up here and then settled nicely on a comfy rock . He looked up with the sweetest expression. I could hear the lady behind me saying "CHRISTMAS CARD" !!!LOL!! I felt lucky to get the little guy nestled in a cozy spot only a few feet away to get this shot.! I have many more of the two brother snow leopards and will probably be posting more. What an exciting day!! They were so playful cute and darling as it gets to see. This was taken with the nikon 7900 pocket cam on macro mode 2 feet away ...! - * please view at full size to see it best!! Hope you enjoy this little baby here ..:O) Thank you for all your time and comments! Love to you all! ((( BIG HUGS ))) ♥ Kimmers :O)

OMG!! Kimmers, you did it again! What an absolutely gorgeous shot of this baby snow leopard!! I want one now!! LOL!! I also appreciate the fact you bypassed security, dug a hole under the fence, and ended up in the habitat to get this shot! LOL!! I don't know how you do it, but I think it might be the fact that you will not settle for anything but the best, and that's what you makes you bring home the bacon! Or in this case, a very fluffy and cute (albeit, deadly later on) baby snow leopard! Did I mention I want one!? I'm calling Joan Embry right now for my license!! Outstanding capture, Kimmie, and this gives new meaning to 'Wild Kingdom'! In my faves he/she goes and I'm just in love with your work!! *****

I envy you so much! It is a very good capture portraying cuteness in nature. There is nothing like making contact with wild animals and/or their young, it creates an everlasting bond. Ok, I am getting carried away, lol! Thanks for sharing.
