Description

A Gibson ES175. Many years ago, in high school, I lived in Kalamazoo, Michigan, original home of Gibson Guitars. A friend and I went down to see if we could look around. This was the mid-60s and mainstream rock&roll hadn't discovered Gibsons for the most part. They didn't have organized tours, but the company VP happened to be there and took us all around the plant. The last room was where all the finished guitars sat in racks ready to be played by testers. The sight of a few hundred shiny new, very expensive guitars still sticks with me like it was yesterday. They were still making the old style jazz guitars and many that aren't made any more. Much to my disappointment, they didn't let us take any home as free samples. *** Most of the parts were made in AmapiPro, when I made my ES335. This body and assorted items were made with Hexagon. Made the chair too, with Lemog mat. Tony Lynch wood mats

ES-175 Steve Howes main Ax and he is certainly not a jazz player for the most part. Love big fat hollowbodies. I think heritage guitars still makes guitars there.
