Description

I made this last week, and wasn't too sure about it. For some reason I didn't like it, maybe it was a little too un-original or something. But today, when I looked at it, I thought it looked great - or at least good enough to post it. So here it is. Vue 5 Infinte render with Global Illumination. Groundcover eco with my own freestuff grass and flowers. Alphaplane sky backdrop. Credits: "Windmill" by wolmol "Blackberry Fence" by zippy Sky photo from www.mayang.com A big thanks! And many thanks for your comments on my last one. Comments etc. on this one will be very much appreciated. Have a very nice day -Lars

very nice feel to it. just one crit: the leaves and vines on the fence look a bit tense, not too natural:)

The reason why you didn't like it is perhaps because the windmill is utterly missplaced in the landscape. The windmill looks Dutch, but the landscape doesn't, since Holland is flat. Furthermore, there is little use to a Dutch windmill perched on a hill, since most windmills in Holland were and sometimes are still used to pump water out of a polder.

Excellent grass repartition and windmill. Something doesn't work so well: the foreground fences first and then the background trees. If I dare, I would say that there is a question of sclae between these 3elements: windmill, fences and trees.

Lovely render. Great grass detail and the alpha picture is a good choice.

Nice lighting and landscape but the right fence hides too much the background (in my opinion).

Artists are rarely happy with their own work. Pictures always look different after a day or two. I think it's the hedge that worries you. I think it would have been wiser for you to use some of RDNA's shrubs in place of the blackberries. Then you would have had a perfect image. It's my hedge that looks out of place. I really should have spent more time making it more irregular. However, I still give your image 5 stars.

Well, maybe the windmill parts look a little CG and that's what might have bothered you. Still, a very nice composition and interesting POV.
