Description
It's the 5th anniversary of the Sept. 11 tragedy, and I'd rather post something different than the usual "memorial" image of conflict, death and loss, and waving flags. The 'loving couple' are different colors because racism is such an open sore in America - the biggest shame of our 'free' society; I made the man blue as a sly wink to my fellow Americans, most of whom should get my meaning. Nationalism and patriotism focus on our differences and feed on conflict. We all have the same home - Planet Earth....

Your statement is right to the heart - ultimately nationalism and arrogance were at the heart of the tradgedy. This work was certainly the type of statement that was needed rather than the chest thumping that was otherwise rampant.
