Cancer will kill me...but not today :-)
Today...is my birthday !!!
Several months ago it was (almost) sure I was going to die. A miracle happened: God gave me life again. I don't know for how long, but that is not important. Cancer is quiet now but it can't be cured. I am enjoying every day. In the beginning it was very difficult, but at the moment it is going as good as it can get under the circumstances.
I also realize, I am living in a wealthy part of the world and I have a wonderful husband and daughter. This adds to my wellbeing.
Since I recovered again in a miraculous way, I am changed. I am a guest now in this world, not an inhabitant, like before. In a way part of me died several months ago: I detached myself of all things. I don't possess anything anymore. It makes me feel free :-)
It is a bit difficult to explain, but as a guest, I don't have the worries of the inhabitants. Yes..., I can see and feel all the tears of the world, but there is a kind of distance now. I know there will be many, many more tears in the world...but I also know this will end: I believe in Gods promiss.
I am very privileged: I know death means going home...but I am also very happy to be with my loved ones. I feel at home with them also. I really hope I can enjoy their company for a long, long time (...but it is not expected).
People always talk about a battle against cancer, but I don't fight the cancer, it is far too strong: I use my energy to get the best out of my life...and so far it goes well :-)I have HOPE.
I feel FREE !

I am upset Titia, by what I have just read. Forgive me, but I am in admiration in front of your courage and your love of the life I am 67 years old, and for several years, I have said to my wife, even profit ud day, benefit from a good dish, benefit from your friends. Because, Titia you are right, we are all of the guests. They are the different ones which receives us or not well it is their life. Your picture is one burns perfume which kills the anguishes, the fears, even the evil is blocked by your spirit. I wrote it to you one day, I worried about you, and you had not crossed the step yet. Your husband and your daughter accomodate you with opened bars, with their heats, their love. Titia you are with them to benefit from it. Make benefit them from the joy and force which you have to be with them. You are like your painting, Titia, a true hope!!!

I lost my mum some years ago, and when she got up in the morning just used to say "Today I have born again".... and as you, she felt like she was a Guest, I think I understand you because in some way I lived lots of days with that feeling and my mother thought me how to appreciate life.
