Taken with my new 17-85 IS USM. Post in photoshop.
Anstruther is a town on the coast in Fife, Scotland, just up the road from st andrews where i am at uni and i was taking shots around the harbour and this shot just screamed at me. So, i took it :)

It's like the bottom half of a mushroom cloud, frozen in rust. Pretty awesome. Love how you've framed it.

It is an illusion? I think the 'stump' is smaller than we think. The focus and the backdrop is just perfecr.
