Description

------------- Return of the Stewards - Damien

There was no chance that he wouldn't get involved. The SGL was going into Maerymydra, and though that had not been his intended target, Damien would not see them go into that hell hole without enough power to defeat it. He had returned to Ravangaard as duty had demanded. He had been a dutiful son and a devout holy warrior of the church. He had buried all the people he had once known and then learned that his wife and unborn son, kidnapped on the very day his parents were killed, had been sacrificed to a demon Goddess as no more than a ploy to overthrow Her. His leadership of the Syvasgaard Chapter of The Legacy had been questioned. His coronation as Baron of Ravangaard had come too soon, he felt. Now he knew it. According to reports coming out of Silverhaven, the SGL, under Kheldar's tutelage, had discovered that his parents were yet alive, and being held as prisoners in some vile experiment in Maerymydra. There was no way he wouldn't get involved.

Damien stood in the courtyard of Castle Dragaard, waiting to meet with Drammis' mother, the Duchess Wellington. It had been a long and tiring flight from Ravangaard. He was thankful the Olde Silver Gryphon still lived up to their names. Mother and father always had a ready stock of riding gryphons in town for emergency use. How fortunate they had not been at the castle when it was destroyed. Now, awaiting the Duchess, he kept going over the argument in his mind. She would argue with him, tell him his duty lay in Ravangaard, in rebuilding his home and showing the power of Carellon on the eastern border. He had more important issues to deal with. If it came to it, he would renounce his title, even surrender control of The Legacy to her pompous son, let him see how easy it is to send warriors off to certain death. He would throw it all away. After all, what did he have left to lose.

Bro looks good - darn holy warrior - he's being tested. Father would slap him around a couple time and tell him to grow up. Even Chris knows, Damians faith is being tested. It's all about living life to it's fullest. BTW - the render looks great. The armor fits him to a T.

He looks great :) Although I have to say he looks as pompous as the one he just bashed in his thoughts ;) Intended or not, hehe. Excellent scene!
