Description
Here again the racoon who slept on my balcony the whole day last Friday. It obviously was caught out in the open early in the morning and just wanted a place to sleep away the light hours. It quietly left at around 8:00 PM.
It was quite tame as can be seen by this picture taken about 5 feet away through a chainlink fence, as a matter of fact after I took this picture, it lowered its head and covered its eyes with one front paw, maybe as a sign of submission (or fright).
Also note the red spot on the right eye, maybe an injury or an infection.
