Description

I do know Renderosity is about digital art but I wanted to share this as this is what I did before computers and digital art. I spent about 4 years in the late 80s-early 90s, to supplement my income when I was first setting up my own design studio, doing commissioned animal portraits- mostly horses and dogs, but some cats and other animals too. I probably did about 100 or so in that time. Each one taught me something new. I've been drawing and painting animals all my life. They are most definitely what inspires me. This is (unfortunately) an older color xerox of the final which was done with Derwent and Berol Prismacolor colored pencil on Canson. Done in 1993.

While this site may be dominated by 3D, certainly Poser, I for one enjoy the 2D work infinately more than the 3D (I do both). This drawing is wonderful!!! And having two sled dogs, I have a special place in my heart for these blue-eyed creatures! This is soo incredibly wonderful!!!! Instant fav!!!

I knew it!!! The greatest artists here are the ones that have wonderful talent in other mediums, and transfer that talent to 3D. You are one of the greats. Excellent work.
