Description

I think it was 2001 when our new sea wall was built. Bay boasts the highest sea wall in England. Huge boulders of Norwegian granite where shipped in. The boulders were dropped into the sea on a high tide. And believe you me, the earth moved!! Bay was host to an army of workmen during the building of the sea wall... Nice ;-) One of these was a gorgeous Scotsman, affectionately know as "mad Willy". Willy drove the massive dumper truck that collected the boulders on the low tide. Willy would often take me with him for a whizz around the beach, it was such fun. Thank you for looking, have a happy day. Hugs. Diane

Wonderful rock wall. It sounds like it must have been an exciting time for the whole town, and expecially a great time for you. Once in awhile something like this is so good for the soul and the memories linger ever longer. One time I had a "Wild Willie" friend who taught me to laugh and see the humor in life.
