Description

As any smart kid does, Billy checked under the bed first, upon entering his bedroom. Nothing was there and the room looked normal. All of a sudden, he felt a presence and spun around. "AAAAgh!" he yelped as he looked up and up at the largest monster he'd ever seen. It's head barely brushing the ceiling. The boy backed up, stumbling a couple of times, until he came up against the desk. The monster had a most terrible grin. It's yellow fangs, glistening in the light, were at least five inches long. It made a huffing sound as it came nearer. Gulping with a dry mouth, Billy slipped sideways to gain a few more feet, as if it made a difference. He backed into the corner, against the bookcase. The monster's open-mouthed grin widened, showing more needle sharp teeth. When it raised it's massive hands, Billy's eyes widened in horror as claws as large as his head clicked and came within inches of his face. He could smell the monster's humid breath. It was a fetid mix of raw meat and peanut butter. Turning his head aside, Billy closed his eyes, wondering if this was going to hurt very long. With a whisper-like growl, the monster took a deep breath and Billy grimaced, bracing for the pain. He waited, thinking of all the things he would miss. There was too long of a pause and the boy opened one eye, then the other. The monster was waiting for him to look. The thing raised his right paw and hooked one razored claw out like a knife. Trembling and sweating, Billy whimpered, wanting to yell, or say something. The monster cocked it's head and then..... and then.... and then he tapped the kid on the chest and with a deep gravely voice, said, "Tag, you're It." The creature then stood up, turned and with stunning speed for such a large creature, hopped over the bed with ballet-like grace and ran out the door. It looked right, then left, then went right, vanishing down the hall. *** Made the DAZ troll's body all white, then in postwork, used mostly the smudge brush to paint the fur.

Don't know what the kid was thinking. I would have called for my mommy immediately.

Damn, you have my childhood nightmare so perfectly. Sometimes the dream also had my parents' 300-year-old dutch grandfather clock. It would be under the left armpit of your monster, and not nearly so frightful. Wonderful render and yes the fur suit is not one of Bryce's best suits - you done good.

Excellent work and images that tell a story are so much more interesting than those that don't - even without your great story this picture says it all :) A high quality and very original piece - Bravo my friend - Nice one!
