George I wish that I had a solid answer for you about the avatar. It was originally for my deviantart.com account and they require the avatar to be 50x50px and 15k or less. A pretty tight squeeze. I'd used Image Ready and compiled 24 frames, all converted to grey scale. Eventually the number of frames was reduced to 17 (something which is still pretty amazing for a 15k animation). The number of colors was reduced to 16...it was at that point that the image still looked decent...not 'flat' or 'Posterized'. No dithering was used and options such as Interlacing, Unified Color table, and the inclusion of Metadata were also omitted... Hope this is of some help to you. Just keep experimenting until you get an animation you can live with. Just remember that for a 15k image there will be compromise and sacrafice. Ron

MrsLubner I'm not certain about the Bear's state of mind, but doing the three photo cards (the last will be posted tomorrow) was somewhat theraputic for my broken heart. BTW, like any 'star bear' in the modelling biz this particular one has had work done to the nose and mouth to form the heart and to draw the corners of the mouth downward. Ron
