Description

Beautiful looking park. One, however, that you would not want to walk through. Pretty to observe from the roadway, but far too many hazards to attempt to cross. Love the scenery here in North Carolina and the people, but our town is located in an area with five swamps surrounding, so visitation to the wilderness is out of the question. Hope that the coming weekend brings you good things.. HUGS!!!

I can see in my mind's eye the cottonmouths, cooters and gators along the edges of this and the copperheads and mosquitos sharing space around the water's slushy mud banks. What a wonderful image!

Great shot, Claudialee! A beautiful bucolic image, but don't let appearances fool you. Somewhere in that swampland lie all kinds of things -- crawling, slithering, swimming, hiding, hanging -- that could make life very tough on you.
