Thanks for all the positive feedback! To answer the question about the number of people in the scenes. The bottom panel makes liberal use of masks to get that many people in a Bryce scene. Also, the crowd and the soldiers are all as low resolution as possible. I think I still ended up rendering that scene nine or ten seperate times and then combining the images with the masks in Photoshop.
