A tranquil shot that makes me think that something big will happen quickly and ruin the quietness of the view. Good job.

Dear Karen, This too is another gorgeous photograph!! I love the marina and which I too could be out saling!! I particular find the marinas appealing at night - you hear thing clanking of the rigging in the wind! A very magical sound!!! I'd likt to make one suggestion fro you to try! Everything I do is done in color, but I always make a grayscale of it, too, and then pick one to post here. (On my web site I post everything.) Anyway - there is a lot of fine detail in all the boats and in the sky, too, so you might try a black and white version of this one just to see how you like it!! Convert to grayscale, drop the gamma to between .5 to .75, increase the contrast, and up the contrast and the intensity. Play with these three parameters until you've got a high contrast silver gelatin or platinum look!! I think you might like it. For some ideas and a color to black and white comparison, take a look at Meredith_0209 at: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1342030&member and at Meredith_0212 at: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1342716&member I always find it hard to select because each reveals different things - it's an apples to oranges situation - but it is an interesting experiment!!! Super photograph!!! Love ya!!! Meredith
