Description

I was a little unsure about whether to upload this one or not as the results weren't too good. Basically I was trying to capture a high dynamic range, i.e., seeing both the stars and the light on the tree. It was a 30 second exposure at ISO 1600, which in a shot this dark had too much noise to clean up well. I'd tried this shot early in the morning just as the sun was about to rise, my next shot I think I'll try on a brightly moonlit night.

The stars turned out nice...I know this is a difficult subject to shoot and have it turn out well. I would prefer a tighter crop, but not bad overall.
