Noel Prabhuraj BIO The first time I touched colors I got a spanking! Mum was a school teacher. I was in kindergarten. She had several boxes of colors for distribution to her students. Without knowing I fiddled with all of them and made many pages of, I think, abstract art. No wonder, I got some spanking :) As I grew I discovered I was good at it. Later, I even represented my college in All-India Cultural Competitions and won several prizes -- even though I was only a BSc Botany student. Then, for a brief stint I worked as a commercial artist in a small firm dealing with Cine-ads. Now, of course, I do something else to belong to the land of the living. My first intro to digital art was at Renderosity. I was amazed at what people did. I watched Luc Bianco's work at the Terragen commune. And later, I started experimenting. I think I am still learning -- but its wonderful. I was introduced to fractals by Carolyn (classyladytwo at Terragen). I did a few using Apophysis. But I think my heartbeat is more with Terragen. I use several other tools as well: World Machine 1.25, 3DEM, Wilbur, Terrapainter,CamPath, Stratagen and a whole lot of other plugins. Thanx for visiting my homepage. May the eyefeast you have here satisfy your heart.

Wonderfully Done Indeed!

Beautiful image. I love the colors. Fascinating commentary as well, one that brings many questions to mind. One of which is...have any other planets or stars been found to have all 26 essential elements required to sustain human life, within our radius of investigation to this point?

Welcome back, Noel! A very interesting preface..and your image is simply amazing. Beautiful intense color, excellent hard light and awesome texture. HOT!

Unusual atmosphere, which gives the terrain a superb light. Love the streaks in the surface that are contrasting. Beautifully done.

Yes, Suzanne, Metallicity poses a problem for SETI propounders. Galactic pre-condition for life means either stars must be in Spiral or Spiral barred galaxies. The high metallicity star cannot be close to a nucleus or else the heavy radiation would prevent the habitability. Likewise the star cannot be on the rim, then it would have low metallicity and no possibility of life. So ideally it should be midway in the loose arms of the galaxy where star density is thin. Higher density of stars would mean the planet would not have stable orbits, making it detrimental to life. Other shockingly, and surprising matters to astronomers - Earth is the only planet with a circular orbit. The neighbouring Gas giant Jupiter also has a citcular orbit, protecting the Earth from cometary collisions and stabilizing Earth's orbit. Also the Earth's moon also plays a critical role in stabilizing Earth's axis. Wild axis swings are characteristic of planets having elliptical orbits.. No other planet in any other stellar system has has a circular orbit. Then further, Earth is the only planet with Plate Tectonics in the entire observed Universe! In fact, many astronomers, are coming to the indigestible conclusion that the earth is rarity.

Beautiful image and details. Great to know that the planet Earth is so very special and unique, and was designed to be that way!
