Home, Home On The Vine... by TwoPynts

"Mid pleasures and palaces though we may roam, Be it never so humble, there's no place like home." ~ J. H. Payne
I found this tiny spider and web on a tendril of passionflower vine. To give you an idea of the scale, the circumference of the coil of vine is no larger than that of a nickel. It is amazing where insects make their homes, especially ones that are so temporary such as this. I think the little arachnid is being rather optimistic that he's going to catch anything in this web, but I guess we all have to start somewhere. :o) The little yellow blob towards the front and right of the vine is a butterfly egg. Be sure to view full size. ----- Thank you for your wiggly comments on my last upload, Squiggly. The flower is from a Brazilian evergreen named Tibouchina urvilleana and is also known as the princess flower, glory bush, or purple glory bush. They do well in Florida and this specimen is from my in-laws' garden.

And in this one you even managed to find a tiny web. I have to agree with Nita...what an eye you must have! For some reason my eyes can never find the milk in the fridge even though its appareantly there. #:o/ Awesome capture buddy! Have a great Florida-Day!!!!! #:O)

It is an excellent composition where the circles lead the eye back to the spider.
