Since the year 2000, I've been involved with Poser and the related online communities. Before then, my main artistic expression was through pencil sketching. Recently, I've started looking into digital photography as another hobby. For a complete view of my porfolio, visit my gallery at Renderosity. I do clean my images out from time to time to keep it looking professional, but feel free to leave comments on the images that are there.

It was a comment in my gallery made by Elcet that started me browsing through your gallery, to see just how realistic a Poser figure can be made. I must say that it is well worth the effort. It would seem that you've had an easier time with Koji G2 thatn some other of the forum members. I myself have made an active decision to stick with the stock Poser figures, whichever they may be, more for the sake of their simplicity than any special reason. This is a very good render, the hand and fingernails especially look authentic. I'm not so sure about the tongue and mouth (from a textural point), but they too are in the realm of the probable. The frog's texture doesn't strick me as true (its Fluorescence is a little too psychdelically brilliant to my thinking), but from what I remember from a National Geographic article, it's possible that I'm wrong. If I remember right, the poison dart frog emits a highly toxic slime from the pores of his skin, which the natives rub on the shafts of thier darts, just below the point. As I remember, the slime is so toxic, that the natives don't dare touch it with their bare hands or fingers, but use a stick to hold the frog still while coating their darts with its secretions. When hunting, they blow the dart at their prey, which, if struck suffers almost instant paralysis. The toxic nature of the poison requires that all meat surround the dart must be disposed of, so as not to suffer from its effects. The man in your render is either blindly ignorant of the dangers involved, or suffers from a deathwish -either way, he's not long for this world: Requiescat in Pacem! All said, I would congratulate you on a job well done. I'm giving this render a 'Highest' rating. Yours truly, David P. Hoadley
