Description

Hi all, As I mentioned in replying to a comment in my gallery earlier, this is a WIP of a Goblin/elf/type of thing character I have just started working on. I thought I would upload for you to see at this stage. Still early stages. Oh, if you are wondering, my daughter named him (she said he 'looked' like a Godbert!) Thanks for viewing. Minty.

Don't get TOO excited, I haven't the time to make a 'complete' figure LOL. I think this will be more of a portrait piece. Thanks for the comments guys, much appreciated.

Wow, he's perfectly scary. What brilliant texture and morphing work. Bravo. I love your daughter's name choice, too. Very fitting :-)

I just need to point out that there are no 'morphs' in this model. I modeled the whole head which started as a cube in Cinema4D which I then sculpted in ZBrush.

This is amazing work. The texturing is just perfect. I love the wrinkles, the little pock-marks up near the hair line. And what a hairline, excellent stubbling... Just... Wow. And this was box modelled. My God. I hate you. I might never be this good!

Thanks again for the comments. The pock marks and wrinkles were made using a mix of alpha brushes and the standard/inflate brushes etc in zbrush. The stubble on the head was basically painted in photoshop (a subtle grey layer in overlay mode and then some noise added). The comments are much appreciated. I'll get working on this fella when I have some more free time. Cheers. Minty.
