Description

Here a couple of picts from the Roger Waters "Dark Side of the Moon" concert in Montreal. I'm not much for concerts, I've seen a few but afterwards I'm half deaf for three-four days (even with the occasional hear plugs), but this one was incredible! Not only was the light show superb, but the sound was perfect, loud but just enough and crystal clear, which is a feat for the Bell Center in Montreal has pretty crappy acoustics. (hey, I could hear even upon exiting the concert!:) ) And of course the music and musicians were outstanding for the 2 1/2 hours they played: imagine playing The Dark Side of the Moon uninterupted just like the album and just as clearly! Canon SD700 no flash at for the most part ISO 800, which is the max, and the reason the pictures are grainy Thanks for looking, Dan

Nice pics, I saw the Pig and immediatley knew who it was. I have yet to see Waters or Pink Floyd in concert though, so I'm a little jealous of you.

This is an amazing collage! Great shots and I imagine it was an amazing presentation to witness. Love the backlit pig! But as much as I have always loved Roger Waters, and I mean all his solo works from The Pros & Cons of Hitchhiking on through Amused to Death and the live album a couple or so years back; in addition to all the timeless works of Pink Floyd, and as much as his music has meant to me throughout the years, I do not need an entertainer, who without Pink Floyd would possibly have ended up as the local neighborhood baker, or maybe just another brick in the wall as an unskilled laborer, I do not need any entertainer (or anybody for that matter) going out of their way telling me which ways my political persuasions should swing. No matter what their position may be. Its insulting and presented from such a smug position of superiority that if you disagree with them its assumed that youre just a Fn idiot. Of course he can put whatever thoughts he wants to in his music. Id want and expect that, but please, its not a political science class! Protest singers of the past stated their positions by holding up their ideals and beliefs in a positive light by offering what they felt was a positive, better way to be. Thats lost on entertainers of today. Now they viciously and personally attack those who they disagree with, and usually take a negative, outright hateful tone. They preach and attack, but they fail to offer anything positive. Love your music Roger, always will, but please lighten up a little bit, will ya? Thanks for the post; it's my desktop Wallpaper now!
