Description

Done in Bryce5 and Photoshop7 Thank you very much for all nice comments on my last image "My Island"! I made this image thanking to rmisra (3dcommune)or here at RR rrmmiss who is from India and doing wonderful stuff! Thank you my friend! I been in India eight times from Himalayas in Kashmir down to very South and then to Sri Lanka (that is another story - there Buddhism is on first place - about that I will say something another time). So, who is Shiva? On the West is so many wrong oppinion about Hinduism...and Shiva of course! Hinduism is not only religion is a philosophy and a way of life. I love that wisdom! And respect that and all religions of this world and people of course! I did not change my religion - only I understand it better,,, Belive or not there is only one God in Hinduism - Absolut and He has many aspects (in India they call it - God..as we who are Christians call it Saints. I found that they had Holy Trinity in a way, too! Absolut has three main aspects Brahma (creator), Vishnu (implement or execute Absolut wish mostly through Avatars) and Shiva (destroyer of everything what is bad)! Shiva has a beautiful wife Parvati (that is two hearts on my image) and son Ganesh - who has magical aspect to take away troubles and problems...Shiva and his son Ganesh are most worship in India! I hope you will like my image... Have a wonderful day!

Beautiful image! I think the reason there are so many Gods is language. I'm sure in each language there is a word for Mother and Earth and Table. In each language they are different, but mean the same thing. I believe that this is true also with God. The same in any country, but different in any language. Your creation speaks volumes @ how God is revered in your country. No one reveres a vengeful unkind God but the vengeful and unjust. Your God must be amazingly wonderful to inspire such beauty and gift the means of sharing the gift with others. Thank you for sharing.BJ

really a grand tribute to Shiva and your explanation is so clean and perfect ! well, vjera, you have also given me some food for thought so i tend to be bit lengthy.. every religion or 'dharma' is and can be a way of life provided we get down to the essence of it. word dharma is derived from sanskrit word 'dharan' means to 'put on or imbibe something'. one should not display it like a tag on his chest the way religious fanatics do and these days we hear a lot about them. practising a religion needs refinement on constant basis just like other things in life . it is our overpossessiveness about a religion which debars it from spreading its real flavor and fervor. i respect Islam because of its refined approach in the form of 'sufism' which is also a way of life not religion but sadly it is still not understood in right earnest. i respect Christianity because of its peaceful ways and means of worship and tranquil depth present in sufism also. as for me, i follow 'sufhindu religion' Shiva is dear to me because i call him a 'Sufi' God of Hinduism. thanks Vjera, for giving me some beautiful moments !

Wonderful and Brillant image Vjera. You are correct about the West, for the most part, not understanding Hinduism. I was exposed to it and the Culture of that part of the World during my time in Nepal and found it Both Fascinateing and Enlightning. & Peace

I love the image, the golden temple's translucency is wonder. I also appreciate the lesson, there is so much of which I am ignorant. You are lucky to have had such wonderful travels and to have seen so many things.
