Their the Hippolyte Rocks,Tasman Peninsular,Tasmania...Looking across Waterfall Bay,for all water traffic coming to Hobart from the North example: "THE SYDNEY TO HOBART YACHT CLASSIC,"...Sail's directly down the east coast of New South Wales, & Victoria, after leaving the safety of Sydney Harbour..Then, comes out into the uncertain weather of Bass Straight, & back down around the east coast of Tassy to round Tasman Island & Cape Roul & start the tacking duels up the Derwent River, if it's a close race to cross the line near the Yacht Club opposite the Casino.. On a personal note: As a youngster,I both fished & scuba dived in this area, the scenery is most beautiful, fishing is great,we used to be able to camp basically rite at the water's edge & we respected what we had around us..That same area is PORT ARTHUR.. An Area of such natural beauty, but "FULL OF SUCH PAIN"...
