Description

Some days are up Didn't think about you Other's are down Christ it hurts so bad Feeling so blue, the man sang it for me The heart has to feel the pain before it can heal May take a month, may take a year Sing it baby, sing it...... It takes time when the hearts been broken May take a month, may take a year You gotta feel the pain, before you can heal And Lord it hurts, hurts so damn bad Gotta feel the pain before you can heal When I walk down that road, and he's not there And I know now, lord, just what i gotta do.... Took all your letters, took that road too Turned them to ashes, cause I gotta heal Some days are up Didn't think about you Some days are down Christ it hurts so bad Gotta feel the pain He didn't look back Not even goodbye So I do what I can Put your name and your ashes There on the graves So I can heal

I feel it. That pain comes through. Clearly shows someone moving through the healing process. Excellent writing.

The pain of a broken heart is not all that different from any other pain, such as a burn. At first it really hurts and can't be ignored. Then, over time, it moves into the background and seems not to hurt so much. It's still there, just poke it a bit and it flares right back up. We seldom heal from that pain. We just absorb it, put it in the background, and move on. Sometimes, in the case of physical damage, the damage is repaired and the pain is really gone. For emotional pain, the cause of the pain may also be repaired for the pain to be truly gone. Sometimes forgiveness can repair the damage. Sometimes, only replacing the damaged part can effect a repair. Pain serves a purpose, for present and future. It helps to protect you. Seek a better path than to ignore and absorb. Anyway, very well written Michelle. I can feel the pain too. Hugs from Dave :^)

Very nice writing job you have done here. Quite sorrowful and I'm wanting to reach out to help, knowing full well, that in some cases, all the help in the world will not help at all. It has to be worked out by that person alone and in their own mind. Huggs...Silkylady...

Oh! I want to hug you and tell you that you will see the other side! Great imagery. The words tear at the heart strings. They say pain shared is reduced. I will take the weight. I was there many years ago. So long ago that I can now look with gratitude on his betrayal, for the things it has given me. Until then the catharsis of writing is amazingly healing. Again Hugs! Thanks for sharing. BJ
