Description

Hey y'all. This is a macro I took of this teeny tiny flower in my yard.I'm really not sure what this is but it resembles something I once saw called September weed, and since it's September and this is a weed ,I guess that name is as good as any. Anyway,I'm still learning how to use my camera and this new lens, but so far I'm really happy with it.I also used it to take my drop shot that I posted the other day.Thank you all so much for your most encouraging comments. For the record,to those of you that were impressed by that being my first, all the ones I've attempted to get since, have been total bommmmmmmmmmmbs! So there ya go.Pure beginner's luck.LOL. In case you missed it,this is it.thumb_1299021.jpg"A Drop in the Bucket" Okay. That's all I've got to say...I know,I know...it's more than enough.*Sigh*.I never know when to shut up it seems.LOL.Hope y'all have a wonderful weekend and thanks for any comments and/or opinions you may care to share with me. See yaz! Marlene

Hmmm.I wonder why the title is on the left like that and not directly under the thumb...If anyone of you knows what it could be,would you let me know?It looks weird and it's going to annoy me to no end, lol. ;^D

Whoa! That is one amazing macro Marlene. And composition is totally perfect!!!! LOVE IT!!!! So these are called September weed huh? Ive always thought of them as anorectic daisies....but then again...florally challenged remember? Sigh. Ooops...thats all i got time to write today. My co-worker was kind enough to pause the DVD so i could write this comment and now i better not keep her any longer. I know...i know...work is sooooooo hard. LOL. Have a wonderful day!!!! #:o)

Wonderful pov. Isn't it funny what is construed as weed and as flower? So many of our cultivated plants were once seen as weeds - iris, daisy, roses... I think this is just a lovely flower you have captured so well.

Your ebot just popped up on my computer. It's 8:13 here and there's already a bunch of people who posted comments. I guess the Mexican internet is slower out here...must have been taking a siesta....oh well...what might be a weed to you is a beautiful plant here in this dessert state... Now about your pic...it's a nice weed pic...lol...actually if you turn it 90 degrees counter clockwise, it would look a lot like a water drop splash...As always, your presentation is beautiful...Have a great weekend NYH

What ever it is called, it is such a beautiful macro, I love the dark background, it gives the tiny flower such a wonderful depth. You could write an Autumn poem or a Haiku and place to the right, not that it is needed, the photo is a visual poem in itself.

One man's weed is another man's flower (-: Lovely work! If it's the same thing that grows around here, it gets a little seed pod kind of thing that sticks wonderfully to my dogs!! And I let them grow in my garden, even if they are weeds! And I DID miss your water drop .. that's a wonderful piece of work also!

Oh Marlene! Relax my dear! That is the beauty of digital photography!! You take 56 shots of one flower, and at least one will turn out great!! And the best part? You don't have to pay to develop the other 55 that didn't turn out!! The main thing is that you got the shot! An this is a very lovely shot!! It reminds me of a daisy, and love daisies!! I love how this teenie, tiny flower fills the frame!! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!!

That's the most photogenic weed I've seen in a while. But then, a weed is just something you don't want growing in your garden; I don't mind what grows in my garden; ergo there's no weeds in my garden. And now I'm wittering on (it must be catching). Great macro shot, Marlene.

A super capture of this beautiful little flower - I like the sense of lighting the darkness. You have a new macro lens? Hope you have many happy times learning and taking shots with it. No0e I have the song 'Try to Remember' stuck in my head :D

Hey, if people like listening to you, it doesn't really matter if you don't know when to shut up, does it? Go easy on yourself! I think the key with this type of shot is to get the tips of the stamens (if that's the right word) sharp & in focus, then the rest of the flower can go to hell... in the nicest possible way. Autofocus probably won't do this for you, so perhaps you need to focus manually, take three or four shots creeping in gradually - you won't be wasting any film, after all! Just my 2 pence/ cents/ roubles/ Martian Green Credits worth.... ST.

A delicate white flower, and the black background accentuates it even more. Very nice!
