Description

One of the nice things about making a new space ship model, is crashing it on a desert planet. One of the great things about carrara (over bryce) is the fact that renders like this take a few minutes rather than a few hours. So I tweaked and tweaked and didn't have to say "Good enough." Wings3d, Carrara, Photoshop and cookies. Thanks for looking.

cookies rock! and yeah, wonderful work, puts you right in there, in one of the engines, in near darkness, where you can barely be seen :)

This realy captures the awe and splendor of an exotic alien enviroment. It is a dream to find such a thing on a far away alien world. Beautiful. ^_^

Very cool! You make some of the best ships and it looks like you're having a ball with Carrara.

The most impressive part of this wonderful render is the way you have captured the goliath feeling to the ship, it's a masterful job with beautiful and intriguing scenery, superb piece.

You are absolutely right on that point!...materials are little of a pain, but the render times are outstanding. Cool modeling and render!

Great image! So Carrara is that much faster than Bryce? Hmmm. Better check it out. Well done Phil!

That ringed planet in the background, with the unique choice of perspective, really moves this image into a truly exotic realm! Great stuff!!
