Description
Didn't plan on such an early demise;
just choked on some chit'lins one summer night.
Out of my body my spirit did rise,
and floated toward the beckoning light.
A bright lamp, for interrogating, stung
my saddened eyes. Tests, I would have to pass.
Many questions and accusations flung,
by an angel behind a wall of glass.
My past as a sinner caught up with me,
branded REJECT-REINCARNATE. "Decide!
Just what sort of beast would you care to be?"
asked the angel. "Oh, a bird!" I replied.
Never thought I'd be such a dull critter,
life as an emu, flightless and bitter.

oh my. my mistake. i was so taken with the poetry, that i was expecting an image with it. the image in my mind, from your poem, was equal to any image you could have created..[possibly. your pretty good at the renders too]. i feel a bit foolish. sorry about that Kat. (in my defense, it was 4am when i saw that you had posted a new image and it was the first one i went to look at, i was barely awake. lol) russ

Great poem ... I loved it. And a fabulous dedication to a wonderful guy. The poem is so fresh and lively and marched along with humour, wit, and a definite talent for writing. Wonderful job!
