Description

I used to love Autumn, but this year I look forward to this season with a little melancholy. I have enjoyed summer so much, and now I sit on my little backyard, looking at my favourite tree, a maple. Oh no...it doesn't look this way yet. The leaves just begin to turn yellow and orange, a few have fallen to the ground. But I have to get used...therefor I made this image. You know...I really love these warm Autumn colors, but I want to postpone the cold and the rain and the darkness...just a little time yet. Thanks for viewing, comments are always appreciated.

With so many forest fires coming across my TV screen every day, this is what I was reminded of when I looked at this image. Fall colors are lovely and one of my favorite seasons. There is a new freshness in the air that is quite welcoming...we just have to go through the transition before next spring and renewed growth. Enjoy your beautiful Maple Gun as it prepares to go to sleep :)

I feel the melancholy in this Gun, but there is warmth as well. Enjoy what you can of this short time before the cold. Thank you for a beautiful, and powerful entry into autumn.

I know what you mean. I'm not looking forward to winter and the cold. This is a very beautiful picture. The sky is on fire.

You have done well at capturing a mood of Autumn; the wind blustering, leaves swirling and rustling, and days becoming shorter. What a great time of year to be alive! FIVE STARS

So much feeling in this.It seems so desolate even though the colors are so vibrant.I can understand your melancholy for the passing of summer and the oncoming cold.Best to do exactly what you are doing...sit outside and enjoy the sun and all the beautiful colors we have at the moment.Lovely work,as always,sotnos.-M :^)
