Description
G'day.
This is no 3 os a series of photos from Squeaky Beach, Wilsons Promontory, Victoria, Australia.
This beach faces south west into Bass straight and gets some major waves from the Antarctic region and is a very dangerous place to swim. Many people have drowned standing here fishing or watching the waves on these rocks.
I was a fair distance back (and safe) and I used a slight telephoto method with pre focus on the rocks so i could shoot multiple images as the waves broke.
Cheers

Lou

Enormous power in this huge waves hitting a rocks! Excelent shot to show who is a boss out there!

wonderful shot. the depth of the shot seems shortened....is that the correct observation? whatever the terminology, you gave the foreground rocks and wave great power in the shot. great job.

Beautiful capture showing some of the massive force inherent in the waves - I can easily imagine an unwary fisherman (or photographer...) getting a nasty surprise out there.

Beatiful again! Very impressive capture.. Can you beleive that i use make a show with very few others in Alexandria - Egypt. Jumping from 20+ meters heights into the water, which is 10 times more dangerous then this! :D It was fun tho, and people always called us crazy! But oh well! Who cares? And how many people can do that? None!! :P Have a nice day Lou and thank you for bringing back the memories.. Now where can i find a place like this in the USA?? :))) JOE

The one thing about water, large or small, it goes where it wants and nothing stops it. Good shot!
