This could perfectly have something to do with the global warming (increase in the average temperature of the Earth's atmosphere and oceans in recent decades) I can see that, the atmosphere and oceans in this SPLENDID picture ;O)

Beautiful rich colors, definitely a result of global warming trends .. love the canvas texture, gives it the look of "Old Masters" paintings!

It looks apocalyptic though not ominous to me. The colour-range is particularly successful, also the hinted textures, like secrets whispered at dusk. Really beautiful work.
