Dandy
Hi, my name is Dandy
(Daisy, she's a friend of mine)
we share a lush green meadow
along the lane, sitting all in a line.
We sit and bask in the sun
whenever he is about
and shelter behind the farm's old trucks
when Willy wind blows up from the south.
I wear my best green outfit
with the spikey bits on the arms
they're really quite soft to touch
and really wont do you no harm.
I turn my face to the passing bees
in the hope of a kiss from them
and laugh and giggle with Daisy
when their legs tickle my stem.
It's fun living down in the meadow
midst the grasses so lush and green
and hear the buzzing of the bees
as they flit from Daisy to me.

And don't they just make the perfect couple? Both seem to be for wishing. The daisy has her petals plucked in a children's game. Whispers of He loves me, he loves me not... with hearts and tummies tied in knots. while Dandys petals turn to down fervent wishes are blown around. Oh yes my dear she loves you, this you had to know.... with wings flying on tips of wishes to follow you where you go. ....yes...they are beautiful....as is your poem as is a reflection of your soul. I love your poems like this, they always leave me smiling. EY Michelle

Lovely little things Dandy and Daisy. Your odes to them are sweet, they bring to mind the careless innocence of youth. Thanks for sharing. BJ
