Description

In the mountains, the weather can change in an instant. As seen in this shot, evening approaches on the Athabasca River and storm clouds begin to roll in. Athabasca River, Alberta, Canada September 29th, 2006 Nikon D70 Spent the past week in the mountains, so I will upload a few mountain shots in the next few days. Enjoy!

For those wondering...yes, that is the actual color of the water...suspended glacial rock flour gives it the blue green appearance.

Lovely photograph. There's always something about water that I love, especially clean looking ones and set against the turbulent sky makes it all the more dramatic.
