Description

Ford mad a Model B 1932. You can buy this for $18,500 U.S. It is a street rod here . If you looking for one that is made as it was in 1932 it will cost you $60,000. I ask the owner if the back seat was the rumble seat where the two young couples would make out or as I say "make love". He laff and say "No. It was called the Mother-in-law seat. That is where the mother-in-law would seat to make sure the young couple in the front seat was not doing the hank-e-panty" The front seat was where the action was. We laff for he was a old man and live in that time of this car[he was a teen at that time]. you can do a google look for it on the net. Thanks for looking and comments. Sorry I did not get the artist name for the masks but I will get it at the end of the month and her photo with her work too.

A beautiful restored Ford. We have car shows around here all the time featuring those old jalopies impeccably restored. The owners pour tons of bucks into that hobby. While surfing the Internet I found advertised on Google a restored 1936 Plymouth, also with a rumble seat, for a mere asking price of $80,000. Are they kidding? When I got out of the Army I bought the same kind of car, a second hand 36 Plymouth, minus the rumble seat, for $300. Go figure. Anyway, gorgeous captures and clarity of the old Ford, Jocko.

This looks like a reproduction from the way the hood fastens and how short the louvers are. (are there 20?) The edge of the fenders also looks like fibreglass. These are so rare in anything this close to original that the eye goes over it like an FAA inspector. Art takes a backseat, only if it dares, with you.

This is one FINE car. On Friday nights, just a few blocks from our house, there is a meeting place where a bunch of these old cars 'n' Corvettes 'n' old Chevys 'n' others are out for show. Nothing better. Great pics! Thanks for the peek Jock! (:

An old Ford in beautiful condition! Wasn't this one of the models which was often souped up by rumrunners during Prohibition so they could outrun the police? Interesting photos and fascinating commentary (as per your usual, Jock)!
