BIOI am an IT specialist by profession, but my hobby (besides computers) has always been photography. I have been interested in this since early childhood, starting off with instant cameras and graduating to SLR's and recently a SLR lookalike. My first SLR was a Minolta X300 and then a Minolta Dynax 404i. My first digital was a Fuji S5000 DSLR-like camera, but nowdays I use a Canon EOS 350D with an 18-55 and 75-300 with a Speedlite 420EX (which is very handy for doing weddings). I don't profess to be any good at photography and have no experience with studio work. I do however like outdoors and scenery and have been asked to do a couple of weddings before, which came out well. The best people pictures I take are those where the person does not pose and are caught almost unawares.
I love the outdoors and camping and go fairly regularly and take my mountain bike with. My friends and I go mostly to nature reserves.

Ok, now we can start comparing cause I've got the same shot and so does Vera beams Such a lovely scene, don't you think? You remember how peaceful it was there? Lovely capture Andrew! :0))

you caught it at the right time - just popping - would've liked abit more detail in the foreground thou... Lovely tonal range in the sky!

More detail in the foreground means less tonal visibility in the sky. One can't always have one's cake and eat it ;P

Allow me also to compare: There is nothing like this for atmosphere in Africa. You opted for less detail and it is super. I definitely felt the sun in my sunrise competed for attention because of the other detail stealing its glamour. Excellent choice Andrew.

Lovely sunrise, thanks for sharing!

Nowhere else in the world are there sunrises like this! The lack of foreground detail makes this image all the more powerful. Beautifully shot, Andrew! FIVE STARS
