Description

Yes... it's me again. And I'm still occasionally noodling around in Poser and cranking out the occasional cartoonish render. And I'm still mostly using Poser 7 ( because Poser 9's libraries stopped loading ) and a lot of "old" content and freebies, such as the cache I recently found online at Archive-dot-org, in some "ImagineFX" wayback-issues. This time with maybe a bit more of a reason, though. This little piece ( hopefully it's not too dark... but your results may vary depending on how your monitor is adjusted ) is dedicated to the upcoming release ( in just a few days, in fact ) of Hollywood's hopefully NEW take on the Dungeons & Dragons genre, with the release of "Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves"! Something which I have been waiting for... and which has been a long time in coming. That is to say... if they did it right this time. Though, what little I have seen so far, in the trailers, does look good! Especially in terms of it's apparently having been done, this time, by someone with a sense of humor, as well as having a love for the games. So let's hope for a hit... and maybe even a series of sequels... or prequels... or just about any reason to, perhaps, have favorite old characters from the games occassionally appear in cameo! Because, frankly, the whole "Marvel Universe" super-powered super-duper superheros business is starting to get a bit old. And I find myself longing more for stories about more-or-less ordinary and likable characters ( an everyday "ordinary" bard... an "ordinary" sorceror... an "ordinary" paladin, an "ordinary" barbarian, and an "ordinary" druid tiefling! ) involved in epic and extraordinary events! So... I guess we'll soon find out. Anyway... the joke... an "upgrade" of a single dragon pun: Three dragons walked into a bar. After ordering a round... or two... the first dragon began telling the story ( again ) about his recent battle with a paladin, who's remains he subsequently had made into a wall-mountable trophy. "That one... just over there!" he said, admiring the prominent position into which the barkeep had placed it. The second dragon had heard, and seen, it all before... and so finally asked: "So why didn't you just simply eat him, instead?" "What? And not be able to walk in here everyday... and laugh again in that paladin's face? Never! Not for anything!" said the first dragon. "Well, I dunno..." said the the third dragon; "... you know those paladins... they do taste lawfully good!" -------------------------------------------

HAHHAAH ! I love this. That look in his face. Not to mention his partner inside. I am sure she is afraid that he will kick the little "sweet" dog. :))) Excellent work.

I should say that this current bit was posted, today ( March 23, 2023 ), as an edit-over of another set-piece involving the good ol' Freak's foot-worn treads getting some unwanted attention from a canine aquaintance, instead of the nearby vehicular treads getting the hit... as they usually seems to. Though my technique has not really improved all that much, I still find much older attempts at such expression to be a bit of an embarrasement... and so, will likely continue simply to replace other images in my gallery, one at a time. Time... and reason... permitting, of course.

Though long long overdue, my thanks to those above, who commented on the previous image.
