Description
As modern memorials go, this is not bad. It's dignified and full of symbolism. Far too much to photograph in detail for this forum.
The stele are inscribed with the names of the war dead. An obvious nod to the Viet Nam Memorial in DC, but a nice personal touch for the families. Comparing this to the Viet Nam Memorial in Baltimore is a study of elegance and 'on the cheap.' Perhaps that is unfair, but the latter seems to have been an afterthought just for the sake of PC.
