Description

To me Autumn has two faces. One is vibrant colors in red-orange-gold-brown. The other face is more unnoticed and even humble. I think I love them both, even if the vibrant colors seduce me :-) When everything is shades of gray and brown I can see the structures of trees. Those massive green trees suddenly get their own personalities. Maybe it is my years as Graphic art student that taught me the beauty of forms and just the spectrum black to white. Thanks for viewing, comments are always appreciated.

Thanks for reminding us of the muted, humble side of Autumn. I appreciate that part of it as well. :)

I like this picture. I think I know what you mean. I have always enjoyed seeing the bare trees after all the leaves are gone. They have beautiful shapes. Also, all the empty bird nests are revealed. The darker colors of everything seems to say that the earth is pulling a blanket up over itself in preparation for the cold winter.

I particularly like the way you put the clear darker image to the front/side and followed up with the misty dreamy image behind. Gives good depth. :-)

moody shot and definitely a true side of autumn that isnt thought of in terms of "colour" as such, but maybve should be. Thanks for sharing :)

It seems winter is coming too soon for you my dear. I don't mind the bare, gray days... just not too much. I'm already a depressive person, I don't need to add to it. Love the photo, Gun. Hope you have a great weekend.

Lovely shot. The picture with its subtle colours almost make me smell the odour of the wet ground and feel the deep silence that fog brings into the forrest.
