she was a beautiful lady Evie and it is never easy to lose someone close. My mother had 3 daughters die before I was born and I never knew her pain until I lost a daughter back in 1970. excellent composition

What can I say? Not much without choking on my words. We all miss her so very much, SHE was the center of our lives. Pauline was always there when you needed someone to talk to, a home to go to, a FRIEND to everyone. And then one day SHE was not there, and for a very long time our lives fell apart and although as time went on, so did we all, it has never been the same. Thank you Eve for bringing a little piece of our SISTER PAULINE back to us. Love you always, from your sistr Joan.

We all have those bad times to face, at one time or another. It is very sad. All my siblings are now in their 80's and 90's. There are 8 of us, so any time now, I will have to face it also. My Mom & Dad are gone. They are sad dates we face every year. My sympathy to you and yours. Huggs...Silkylady...

I feel your pain too Evie. She had a life, fairly long one, and it was filled with family and friends. It was a full story, with ups and downs. You can't appreciate the ups without the downs. It's life. I like the fact that we have better ways of preserving our memories today, what with photos and recordings. It helps keep the memories more vivid. October is also my worst month, since my spouse of 31 years (Robin) passed on Halloween three years ago. Call it morbid or perhaps I just can't erase her yet, but all her things are still in place, in my bedroom. Her keepsakes and items that represent fond memories etc, are still as they were the day she died. It feels like she is still there, maybe just gone to the store and could come back any moment. Eventually, I'll have to put her stuff away or into storage, but todays not that day. I keep her alive as long as possible, with the things that remind me of her. The pain of her loss is still with me but that pain helps keep her alive for me a bit longer. Ya, I know, I have to move on.. and will.. but I'm in no hurry just yet. Excellent dedication and image to Pauline here Evie. Wonderful poem and write-up too. Hugs from Dave :^)

Family never passes, nor friends and loved ones Evie, as long as they remain in your heart. Little things remind us every day of them, the love and life we shared with them. Beautiful tribute and I know she's smiling that gentle smile right this moment at what you are doing.
