View on Pico & Pico mountain from Sao Jorge, Azoren (24) Our next visit after, Terceira, Flores, Corvo and Faial is the Island of Sao Jorge!! Sao George is World Famous for its cheese, and everywhere on the island you find Cows which produce all the milk needed!!!. My yesterday posting, Cows with view on Graciosa, was taken from the centre of Sao Jorge in Northern direction. To days posting is facing to the south, with a view on the highest mountain, volcano, from Portugal. Pico is on a distance of only ten Miles!!!, but the water in between is very deep, its where you can spot whales, dolphins and rays if you are lucky!! We have seen in the harbor of Vela (main town on the island) a huge ray!!! S
